Raj Kasbekar is a recognized leader in ‘people management’, ‘global safety, regulatory, quality, clinical and sustainability processes and systems’ as well as ‘biomedical engineering’ with over 25 years of experience across several top healthcare companies. Before joining Gentuity, Raj spent 16 years at Kaz USA, a Helen of Troy Company, where he served in various leadership roles including Global Vice President of Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, and Documentation. During his tenure, he helped build regulatory, clinical and quality systems to transform the organization from a $350 million business into a $1 billion leader in consumer medical and other products. He has also worked in various roles in regulatory, quality and product development at Hologic, GE Healthcare, Cordis (Johnson & Johnson),  Respironics (Philips) and PaceTech.  

Raj has extensive expertise in organizational leadership, national and international regulatory processes, quality management systems, product safety and quality, post market processes, conducting controlled clinical studies, AI/ML-based medical device development, and product as well as packaging sustainability. He holds multiple patents, has published several peer-reviewed articles including in Nature, and was honored with the Elemed ‘Contribution to Society’ Award for his work on pediatric fever management. Raj earned a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, an MBA in Operations and Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, and is finishing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where his area of research is on AI application to continuous, cuffless blood pressure monitoring.
